Grey-Tinted Glasses

When I first started this blog, I promised myself that I wouldn't rave and rant. I can do that everyday and anywhere. I wanted this to be more meaningful and to kind of sort my thoughts out. So, I apologise for my previous entry (although it did make me feel much better) and hope that this one's more useful.

In my cynical and jaded world, I realise that I no longer look at the world through rose-tinted glasses. I am no longer optimistic, just realistic and practical and in Singapore, this means just planning for the worst-case scenarios. It's sad whenever I remind myself that I haven't lived long enough to feel this way and I do wonder sometimes how I actually turned out so pessimistic so soon.

But a wise man once said, "Do not ponder the hows and whys; Find solutions instead." This was further enhanced when I came across this super-positive site that can actually make the more cynical stomachs turn.

However, I shall still risk your wrath and share it with you. Its 3 Beautiful Things (http://threebeautifulthings.blogspot.com) I do advise that you check it out on a better day though.

So I have decided to take a positive step, spin what I just read and do what I used to do when I was younger. I am going to state 3 things that I am thankful for today and share my gratitude with my loved ones:

1. My hubby for his unwavering patience, when I'm cranky and snappish and for his allowing me to make my own mistakes and tolerating my stupid stubborness

2. My lovely, lovely frens for always giving me nice surprises (like the lovely pressies I got), making me laugh (thanks Tre) and just for listening to me bitch (to the whole group at Simps - You know who you are).

3. Oh..... and Simps for the super, yummy Ox-tail Soup that I had this morning. It just got my day started on the right foot. (Until I decided to go back to sleep and overslept)

So there! Am I saved yet?

What the FARK!!!

oh...oh.. stupid stupid people!! Who let them out and why are they running the world??

I'll give you an example.
Me: Why are you late?
Idiot 1: I took my aunty's car
Me: What? Huh? Is that even an answer?
Idiot 1: Ya. She gave me a lift to school.
Me: (What the fark?!) You're NOT answering my question. THINK!
Idiot 1: Oh. I overslept.

Really... At 8 in the morning, I really don't need morons.

Help!! I'm surrounded by idiots!

P.S. No offence to The Hubby and my friends. I'm not around you long enough to be irritated by you.
